主讲人：Shing-yi Wang

宾夕法尼亚大学沃顿商学院副教授

Shing-Yi Wang is an Associate Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at Wharton. She is also a fellow of the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD) and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). She received her Ph.D. in economics from Yale University and her B.A. from Wellesley College. Prior to joining Wharton, she was an assistant professor in the department of economics at New York University. She has also worked at the Federal Reserve Board and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

She specializes in development economics and labor economics with a focus on microeconomic issues related to property rights and migration. While much of her research is on China, she has also examined questions in India, Mongolia, and the United Arab Emirates. Her research has appeared in leading academic journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, and the Quarterly Journal of Economics. She is currently a co-editor at the Journal of Development Economics.

马里兰大学农业与资源经济系副教授

Jing Cai is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland. She received her PhD from the University of California at Berkeley in 2012. Her research areas are development economics and household finance. Her current research examines the growth of micro-enterprises and SMEs, impacts of tax incentives on firm behavior, and diffusion and impacts of financial innovations in developing countries. She is a Co-Chair of the firm sector of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and an affiliate of the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD). She currently serves as an associate editor of the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, the Journal of Development Economics, and the Economic Development and Cultural Change.

哈佛肯尼迪商学院助理教授

Jie Bai is an Assistant Professor in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and spent one year at Microsoft Research New England prior to joining HKS. Her research lies at the intersection between development, trade and industrial organization, focusing on microeconomic issues of firms in developing countries and emerging markets.

2023年“光华未来学术之星”培养计划（Guanghua Future Scholars Development Program，以下简称“学术之星”）启动。“学术之星”是为具有学术兴趣的优秀本科学生定制的学术训练计划，通过为学生提供最优的学术资源和系统性支持（如研究导师、“学术启航”系列讲座、学术研讨、出国交流等），达到激发研究兴趣、培养批判思维、提升研究能力、积累研究经验、树立学术理想、助力学术发展的目的，为学生成为未来学术之星创造条件。 

往期培养成果

成立以来，“学术之星”共邀请60余位光华教师作为学术导师，为报名参加的学生进行专业指导，并从不同学科入手，选取多元主题，结合丰富案例，分享学术研究的经验与苦乐，受到了同学们的欢迎与好评。

2017年，第一届“学术之星”成员、2013级本科生梁淑淑收到哈佛、麻省理工、斯坦福等几乎所有美国名校的经济学博士录取通知书，并最终选择哈佛大学，刷新了中国本科生申请海外博士纪录。

2018年，第二届“学术之星”成员、2014级本科生黄一泓、林心悦获得多所世界知名学府博士录取通知书，最终均选择哈佛大学。

2020年，第四届“学术之星”成员、2016级本科生王至纯获得耶鲁大学经济学博士录取通知书，开启崭新的学术之旅。

2022年，第六届“学术之星”成员、2018级本科生曹雅俊收到哈佛大学商学院组织行为学博士项目的录取通知书，成为中国大陆首位直博哈佛商学院该项目的本科生。
